A spoonful of theatre magic!

                                      Mary Poppins

On the 16th of December we went to see Mary Poppins in the Board Gàis theatre. We were all looking forward to this trip since the beginning of the year. When we got to the theatre you could feel our excitement in the air.

When we arrived at the theatre we had an hour of free time to walk around and explore. The thatre is in a great part of town and we had fun taking pictures and looking at the beautiful canal.

We all lined up outside and got our tickets. I had heard amazing things about this show and couldn't wait to see it for myself. When we began watching the show we were not disappointed, the sets were truly breathtaking and the acting blew us way. The performance did not disappoint our high expectations, it truly was a spoonful of theatre magic.
The set design was amazing! including the folding and unfolding of the house into different rooms, it was like magic. The show gallops along at a great pace, doing more than justice to all the crowd pleasing numbers like Supercalifragilistic… and Chim Chim Cher-ee. Dance routines are top notch, as are costumes. Children will love this show, as it takes their point of view so seriously.

We all really enjoyed ourselves, even those who didn't particularly have a great interest in theatre. In my opinion it was one of the highlights of the year so far!

love, clary <3
